Here is a suggestion from someone who also builds large scale remote control models. How about using some CA (super glue) to hold the light tube in place instead of tape. I plan on ordering these parts as soon as I can find a place in the El Centro area that can do it for, not to sure I want to take apart my dash myself, would not want to mess it up.

thanks for the suggestions...I'm at the office & havn't got the foil tape yet but if it doesent work can always try the glue. I'm thinking that ...even if I carve out the front dash and even if there is not a lot of light despite the foil trick your not going to see the carve out if it doesn't work once the plastic trim is in place. One way or another its going to be finished tonite

Re. taking it apart yourself....it.s not difficult & I think if you can do remote control models you can do this & I doubt very seriously you'll breaking anything.. time, patience & determination are your friends

You might want to think about sanding/filing down the light tube before cutting the dash pad. Just be sure that the shaved part is facing the dash pad and there shouldn't be a problem, I believe. Then use the foil tape to hold it in place. Try it if you have a scrap piece of tube, before you use your dash tube.
I have received my tube, but not the lights as well.

Im tired .....up all nite last nite from work....but got home to work on light tube this afternoon...but I wanted you to know

#1 : that the best way to cut the light tube is with a dremel tool using "cutting wheel #409"...always a clean cut, no cracking or slivers & NO sanding needed.

#2 : forget about the foil backing, crazy/hot glue,& tape holding the tube in place...I tried them all..(What about sanding ???.....Need to do the ABL Door Mod by Michael Cooper first ..see how it looks & then may do it on the dash passenger panel another day)

The BEST WAY is to use TWO light connectors...one @ each end...plenty of light ..no fading @ passenegr door side..BUT does require a little more work cutting the front dash panel

Here are just 2 pics.....more tomorrow...I'm tired

I read somewhere @ camaro5 that its faster if you order your lights from your dealer who sold you the car..i got mine in 4 days..& i ordered 3 more..

Just wondering if any one has tried blue light on an orange panel?? what does it look like?? brighter than the orange one???....just a thought

Just got an e-mail from GM Parts saying my 2 orange lights are backordered :( Maybe time to call the dealer also!

KTCAM - if you are using 2 lights for the passenger side, does that mean there is NO ABL on the small piece by the drivers side? Looks good!

Maybe just splice another connector on the drivers side to install 2 at that location?
