Help on launching with Hoosier Slicks @ 678/671

I finally broke down and ordered a 9" with 3.91 gears, weld wheels, skinnies and Hoosier 28" slicks. My car is an M6 with 678 RWHP and 671 torque. I have been on drag radials since I got the car. Anyone here running a similar setup that could give me some ideas on a starting point for how you are launching on slicks. This will be on the track. What are the better 60' times you have seem on similar setups?. What air pressure are you using and have you had any cases where the tires have slipped on the rims? My best time on MT drag radials has been 10.93 but that was at 638/601. Thanks

I'd be curious too.... ordering Hoosier slicks here too. DRs are toast

Rev it up and dump it. That's how you launch on slicks. A 2 step would be good too.

I have gone 1.58 60' at 10.61 sec. with Hoosier Slicks at 15psi and M&H Skinnies with a little over 700HP.

There are quite a few guys with manual transmissions on the Official 60' List Thread some of them running down into the 1.40's. The thread is a good resource to see what mods are yielding what results. If you don't get any answers here, feel free to post in that thread or PM the members to ask them about their lauch techniques.

And when you get back to the track, post your info as well!

We are using your trailing arms, differential and sub-frame bushings and have your TCA-029s in the box ready to go on the car. So this is my starting point.
