E85 fuel pump options

Hey guys,

I'm wondering what fuel pump options I have if I want to run E85? I'm trying to hang tight for the new Squash returnless pump that is "supposed" to be released soon, but I'm beginning to think it might be overkill for my set up. You can see my mods in the signature below. I will very likely be done modifying the engine after E85. I need/want this car to last. Please give me your opinions and what other options I have without breaking the bank account. I just can't justify spending $2K to get 30-40 rwhp from E85. Especially if I'm not going to throw any more boost at it.

Thoughts. Thanks!

By the way, I'm not sure that I want to run meth, either. I've heard that meth eats away at the Teflon coating on the Eaton rotors? Plus, I don't want to always refill little tanks all of the time.

What pump are you running?

I have the exact same question... I am running a similar setup to you except I will be using the 3.6 pulley. I'm trying to get a game plan before spring so I have been lurking on a lot of these types of threads.

Glad I'm not the only one. I really like Squash and Andy seems like a great guy, but I'm losing hope that his returnless pump will ever be released. And to be honest, I'm getting tired of going over the options in my head. The Squash return-style system is great but it's expensive and seems like overkill for 500-550 rwhp. There has to be other options out there for us "low HP" guys.

Wait you want to switch to e85 but not to make more power? Why even bother if you hp goals can be done on pump gas easily?

I want to switch to E85 and get the extra 40 rwhp AND the security of knowing I have plenty of octane for my tuner to increase my timing. Plus, the cooling effect of ethanol. I'm tapped out right now and I need a little more power to help get me into the 10's.

Go Squash and be done, even return style is not that pricey considering you will be good for nearly ANY future goals, as we all know you can NEVER have enough power!

The return style system can be installed in less than 5 hours

Yeah, I know. You're probably right but I wanted to see if there were any other (good) options? If I was going to keep throwing boost at the motor or do a cam upgrade it would be a no-brainer. Just keeping all of my options open before I spend $2K on something that could be overkill in my situation.

Shouldnt cost you anywhere near 2K.

Plenty of options out there, ADM, Aero, Fore...
i am going with personal experience and results on two personal cars and multiple customer cars.
Another HUGE deciding factor in products we support is customer service... Andy by far is one of the best when it comes to that and stands firmly behind his product.

I like Andy as well, but it will easily cost over $2K for his return-style dual pump. Parts alone are $1900 (plus install) and that's not even including the DSX flex fuel sensor. This is exactly why I'm questioning this route.

Would I be better off installing a custom torque converter and just leaving well enough alone? My car is running perfectly but I like the benefits of E85. Ugh!

Pumps and Harness is $1,000.
1600 for non PTFE and 1800 for PTFE lines.
using stock hardlines and stock rails except where plumbing is needed to Regulator

How come everyone seems to do the PTFE lines? What do they even do? Sorry for my ignorance. Will the stock lines hold up to E85? Thanks!
