Sure, the ZL1 will still pull harder, but its not going to be as substantial a difference as it is between the GT500 and the ZL1.

Yes, but you said it, a car (ford) 300 lbs lighter, and 80 more HP had it's hands full with the ZL1 ..... now the Z28 like the ford is about 300 lbs lighter, but is lacking that 80 hp advantage the ford has.....

The Fords chassis stinks in comparison.

The ZL1 is "The" all around great Camaro...but I want the Z28.

Who drives around in an unmodified ZL1 at the track anyway? None of this matters and if I see a Z28 on the road, please note, I will be listening to loud music with cold air blowing in my face when I pass you.

....loud music and A/C certainly does have intrinsic value, you can't argue with that!

Unless its too hot outside.

Besides, A/C is an option and it looks like a full stereo is too.

Technically you can't call it a stereo if it only has one speaker.
A basic Stereo would have 2 speakers.

Exactly my thought, every time I see a Z/28 praise post. And the apples to oranges comment, they are the same F-ing car! camaros. Each tweaked differently. This is not a mustang to camaro or M3 to corvette comparison - 2014 camaro to 2014 camaro. Give them the same tires and have at it, let GM be the embarrassed ones. haha.

Even the base Z06 would spank the Z28. The Z06 corvette weight, aero and engine make it a near Perfect package. The Z28 is just an attempt at making a big slow thing faster.

First car I ever bought new had no radio. That was 1971. The next car was a 74 Camaro and it had an AM-FM Mono radio. I never got a car with a stereo until my 1984 Celebrity. It had a AM-FM Cassette stereo...

It has been suggested that the Z06 may not beat the Z/28. Hard to believe, but amazing if true.
