Whipple rebuild
Has anyone ever rebuilt their own Whipple? I found the bearing and seal kit for $460 I'm wondering if they are any special tools needed. I've done several searches and cannot find any videos or pictures of anyone taking there's a part. Whipple wants $1,400 plus shipping to rebuild it

I'd say if you have access to the right tools, you could do it. Seems to me the important part would be the torque specs for the fasteners. If you don't mind, I have a few questions:
1. How many miles are on yours? 2. What kind of RPM are you spinning the blower to? 3. Where did you find the bearings & seals kit? Thanks, Scott |

I have about 164k miles on it. Changed the oil every 50k. I'm running a 7% od balancer and a 3.5 pulley. Jonbondperformance.com

I haven't rebuilt a Whipple before but we have rebuilt our fair share of LSA and LT4 blowers. The Eaton stuff is pretty straight forward, you just need a press and a bearing separator helps out too. We've installed enough Whipples and I'm pretty sure they come apart the same way.

Juiced. Thanks. I installed this one but it's been so long ago I don't remember how the back side looks. I have a press and plenty of other tools and a friend that's a matco dealer
