Question Getting a Camaro this Memorial Weekend?

Hey guys, I am hopefully getting a Camaro 2SS/RS this weekend from a local Chevrolet dealer.

Someone told me the best time to get a car is the last day of the month because they want to sell one as fast as they can so they get the car sold before the month is over, so they will drop it down a little. Is this true? If it is thats great its on the 31'st.

And will Chevrolet give a significant price drop on the Camaro because of Memorial Weekend sale? Or is it just better financing.

I just hope I dont go there and they are out of black camaro 2ss/rs's. I would have to order one or something? :/

Well, Miami dealers have dropped LS Camaro's down to $21,999 for the weekend, from a 23.3k MSRP. You may be right.

The end of the month is always a good time to go. But honestly I doubt they will do any promotions for the Camaro's especially the 2SS/RS models. They stopped the 2010 line so they are running low out there until the 2011's are out. Especially in So Cal. We pay a premium to live here. I searched for over 2 months for the best deal I could find. Most dealers were asking for 3,000-4,000 over MSRP. Some of those offered to make me a great deal in there opinion and drop it to MSRP. I for one am not someone that would pay MSRP. I actually purchased my Summit White 2SS/RS from Rancho Motors in Victorville. I was able to work them down to just over 1,000 UNDER MSRP. Mine came with the Stripes, RS Package, and Polished Rims. I dealt with Jeremy in the fleet department he is a very cool layed back guy. You don't have to go to Rancho Motors but a helpful tip for you would be avoid walking in and dealing with a salesman unless he is from the fleet department. If you do want to go into the dealership and avoid dealing with fleet through email then at least walk straight up to the front desk and ask for the fleet manager. They can give better deals on cars. NEVER accept there initial offer and never accept the initial interest rates. Tell them to search around a bit more. I was able to drop down to about 4% by doing that and initially they tried getting me at 7.2%. I have A+ credit as well.

The dealers are having a tough time selling the V6, but not the SS models.

+1 on dealer inventory with the 2010 ending production. I bought my car a few weeks ago and the dealer suggested the inventor was going to start going down soon while they switch over production to the 2011 model.

Well I visited this dealer a few times and test drove a car once, they know who I am, the guy calls me sometimes and asks when I'm going to buy the car. Last time I went though they didn't have exactly what I wanted. Aiming for a black 2SS/RS automatic. Thats all.

Looks like Singh Chevrolet has EXACTLY what you are looking for Black 2SS/RS with Automatic transmission. No other upgrades for 37,180. Tell them 36,200 and you are driving down right now. Then work them down a couple more hundred when you get in.

Singh Chevrolet
8200 Auto Drive
Riverside, CA 92504
(951) 688-8111

Also looks like Selman Chevrolet has an 2SS with with the only upgrade being a automatic transmission for 35,980. No RS package on this one though

Selman Chevrolet
1800 East Chapman Avenue
Orange, CA 92867-7797
(800) 218-9761

Wow really? 36,200 sounds GOOD. It was probably going to be 39,000 or so at the one I was going to go to.

I hope they dont sell that one in these 5 days.

DEFINITELY going there!

Good Luck. You dont have to go down there until this weekend but I would suggest contacting there internet/fleet department. Let them know your a serious buyer looking to purchase this weekend. Tell them you have appointments at a couple of dealerships and the 1st to hit your $ mark you will be going into. Make sure not to try and get them to go more than 900 off the msrp over email because they just wont do it. I got 0 responses from dealerships when I asked for anything over 900 off msrp through email. Keep us posted

Ok I spoke with him, he said they sold the last of their black 2ss/rs's. He told me it would be wise to just wait for the 2011 models coming out in 2 months or so. And they would only be 3% more. He also tried selling me a corvette haha
