No they can be cut out; its just a pain to do. It was the longest part of the process and rough on the hands with the reciprocating saw.

Yeah, took me Forever. Between the sawzall and the deadblow I'm wore out! No where near done, that set me back quite a bit. Gonna be a long night and will still have some work to do tomorrow.

At least they were on the ground and not over your head. My arms were jelly at the end of the day. Glad you finally got them.

I approve. Hoping I can keep the stock rear alive with the auto vs the manual for weight and efficiency reasons. Time will tell

Yeah the 9" is probably 40 pounds heavier than the stock diff =/
At least its over the rear axle centerline tho and not up front!

Only problem with the stock diff is (Currently) no good diff availible and gears are expensive as hell. Not to mention its easier to set up gears in a 9".

With the auto you will probly be ok with some good axles/DS as long as no Transbrake is involved

Every thing is in and torqued down, Bout to throw the exhaust back in and rear shocks. Then a break-in run and cool before I'm off to sleep!

Sooooo, tempting to wake the neigbors with open headers tho.
