Elite catch can working great

Just installed my Elite Cath Can yesterday and checked it today and there is already oil in it. Looks to be working great and is very easy to empty oil and quality appears to be top notch.

I must be missing something but why does it seem like a lot of people are getting rid of their Rx catch cans and going with the Elite ones...is there something wrong with the Rx one?

I would like to know why people are getting rid of their Rx cans, got one on my dads zo6 and my car and works great no problems

Edit: I do like the elite's draining method better, bc if drain my can and put it back into my engine bay too soon it will most likely start to drip

RX one I had worked perfectly fine, I just like the design of the Elite much better as it is much easier to drain/empty as the elite the bottom half of the can unscrews.

I ordered a black one From JDP Motorsports and the difference in price to an RX black one is $16.

Man I was just about to pull the trigger on the RX and now I'm on the fence again!

So it's simple to unscrew and empty? Also, can you plz post a picture of how it is mounted to the car? Im not very mechanical and a picture of a proper install will do wonders for me. Thanks in advance!

Yeah I switched just last night to Elite from a Norris Can. My 2010 had a RX can. Like how easy it is to drain the Elite.

Looks nice Scott. Looking for an install on an LFX to compare the mounting point to the car versus the RX. Stupid question, but the engine has to be off when draining?

Yeah you are going to want the engine off and let it cool down, the can is very hot to touch like the engine.

Thanks Scott. I've read 10,000 threads about pros and cons of a catch can, but I have decided to do this, so might as well do it right!
