5,516 views with about 1% getting in on the action.

If each view was even just a $10 donation, that would be $55,516 raised towards crushing pediatric cancer and support post treatment care for children. It's easy when it's just a "Click this link to support this", or "Like this on Facebook and if we get 10000000 likes we get this....". I know, it's money I'm asking for you to donate, not just a mouse click. I'm not being sarcastic when I say this: I know it can be hard to get over that inertia of clicking the link, reaching in the wallet and pulling out any major credit card and filling out the form to donate. But, it's worth it and, trust me, it feels good. Supporting efforts like this is a secret little selfish joy. Selflessness can be pretty selfish, because it makes you feel so good to help.

In these next couple of hours...please get in on the action. That's all I ask. I know, you've heard it all before: It's a couple of coffees at Starbucks (YIKES!). It's a chinese buffet lunch (ok, less these days). It's 83 cents per month!!! Less than a buck per month to be in this raffle and save kids lives.

Make me beg, I don't mind, and I will. But please - consider just getting a single ticket.

Please.

Ends today...

How the drawing is handled:

Here at raffle HQ, we use a "Double Random Feline Affinity" process:

1) My kids each pick a number from a well jumbled batch of slips of papers with numbers on them (took an hour and a beer to cut them up). The slips are tossed with talc to keep them from sticking, so it's physically fair.

2) They each take their slip of paper and walk over towards our cat, with hands extended and at equal distance. So it's "cosmically fair".

3) Whichever hand the cat sniffs first is the winner.

I've done this several times and there doesn't appear to be any favoritism and neither kid feeds the cat.

This might even be more fair and random than Publishers Clearing House. After all, a feline mind is involved and no one can ever figure them out...
