The trick is to peel the tape off while the plasti-dip is still wet. Once it sets, and you go to peel the tape off, it will peel off the plasti-dip with it. I ran out of daylight to remask everything off, so i will try it again this weekend.

When washing it, i wouldnt put high pressure on the area, just rinse it off with water, and then gently wipe with a sponge. I have the plasti-dip on my wheels and all i do is rinse them off, gently wipe them down, and then rinse them off again and they are fine.

Bowties should work fine, i did the plasti-dip on the chrome taillight bezels. Whats great about this stuff is it comes off, so if you ever want to go back to the chrome, you just peel it off.
