New To Waxing....Have some questions
I just picked up by black 1SS today...getting stripes put on next week. I am planning to wax this car and have never previously waxed a car. I have no idea what kind of wax to get. I have heard people talking about waxes that take like 5 hours to put on, but i do not really have time to do this. When i went to the auto store, i saw a bunch of "spray on" waxes and had no idea what to get. If any has some tips it would be helpful.

im looking at the sight now....but there is SO much stuff. Like i said, i do not really know what to get. I want something simple and not TOO time consuming that will make the black car have that "mirror effect" and shine. Is that "all in one" spray what i should get?

I'm going to do the job first thing in the morning. Ordered the ZFX system which shouldn't take too long to do. I'm skipping the bar rub. Will see how it goes.
Here's a thread with some good info on Zaino http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ighlight=zaino |

It's really not rocket science.....
Don't get overwhelmed with all the anal-ness of the details... Clay your new car....then wax...(apply wax...let is dry...wipe off with clean towel..Simple) you can pick up a generic clay bar just about anywhere now days....target, walmart...yadda yadda! You do not need a automatic buffer to wax your car...just rub it on ...one section at a time...let it dry while your doing another section then go back rub off the dry section .... I've been using Zaino since 2001 Go watch some of the "how-to" videos here... http://www.adamspolishes.com/t-videos.aspx |

the test is to put your hand in a sandwich baggy and lightly pull your hand across the paint surface to feel for any little bumps which would mean you have surface contamination.,,,, |

I've been using ZAINO for years now. Don't get caught up in the hype with all that's going on. It's really not that hard to use, especially where your car is brand new.
The 3 polishes that mostly everyone uses are the Z-2, Z-5 and the Z-AIO. I personally really like the Z-AIO. It's a cleaner, polish & protectant all in one. GOOD LUCK!! |
