Transmission

I am not a mechanic at all!!! I have a 2011 2SS L99. I was wondering if the transmission is located near the front, middle or toward the rear of the car. Thanks!

It attaches to the back of your motor, so it is directly under your consol

Thanks! Should be about towards the middle then!! A friend of mine was asking and he says that some of the Vettes have them located at the rear to give the back end of the Vette some more weight!

Correct. The C6 has the tranny in the back. It's pretty cool design. Esp when you see them getting built. Our cars are typical, tranny bolted to engine.
