Went to Ennis tonight - 1/4 times within (vids below)

My goal was to hit at least 120mph .. I was denied this goal .. LOL

EDIT .. added a few vids below

Mods:
TVS 2300 3.8 pulley (6.5 - 7 lbs)
ADM Blower Cam
ARH Catted system w/ 3" Magnaflow
ADM Intake
160* stat
ADM tunning
Stock wheels and tires at 36PSI
3/4 tank of 93 gas

Here is what I found out ... Wheel hop / Wheel hop / Wheel hop .. That is what happens in 1st and 2nd gear .. slight hop in the begining of third. This is my daily driver so I had to end up going part throttle in 1st and 2nd. This killed my ET as well as my MPH. On to some ET/MPH info:

First time running was my quickest of the night:

60' 2.151
330 5.444
1/8th 8.136 / 92.95mph
1/4 12.321 / 117.14 mph

My top MPH for the night was 118.06 with a bunch of high 117s.

I am confident that if I didn't have any wheel hop and could stick it, I'd run mid to high 11s all day long at over 121mph .. I gotta figure out the hop and get rid of it .. my goal tonight wasn't to try to break any records .. I'm not that good of a driver LOL .. I just wanted to see how it would run and I found out my biggest problem (Wheel hop).

I'll post up slips tomorrow and I had my friend on the video camera .. haven't checked them out yet .. if they look ok, I'll post them up.

117 is close. Sounds like you are in need of some suspension mods and wheels/tires. I had been very interested to see what your car would do because you are right by the power level I will be building for. Do you have any suspension and wheel/tire mods planned in the near future?

lower ur tire pressure some. i had very little issue with wheel hop and was trapping 120 with just the blower and full exhaust. actually only had wheel hop going into third and a bit of bogging going into 4th. play with the launch some more, and dont try to destroy 2nd when doing the 1-2 shift.

Thats still a pretty good run. It takes a little bit of practice to get the launch right and not get wheel hop. I haven't perfected it yet either but I am getting closer. My last run at the track was a 12.4 @117. Unfortunately I will have to wait until next year to run again, as the tracks are closing around here at this time of year. Time for some DR's also. Again, good run and I can't wait to see more.

Were these runs on the Pzero's or on DR?

Stock tires at stock air pressure ... I just couldn't get a full run in without fear of breaking anything .. hell, after the first run, I didn't even do any burnout before as all it would do is hop ....

I can't wait to see what this car can do when I get the hang of that ... like I said, mid 11s at over 121 all day is my guess.

A few vids

Below is me getting beat by a supercharged charger. Not sure if he had drag radials or not. He wasn't babying it like I was though .. LOL .. nice car and good run.

Here is me babying it down the track .. no hard starts .. or jamming gears ... I am posting this one up because it is against a quite truck so you can hear the exhaust a little better.

Looks like you had fun any way.

BTW I can tell how to get your car into the 11's at 120+.....let Andy drive it.

LOL .. I hear you .. if he would fix anything that broke, I'd let him do it. That is the problem since it is my Daily Driver, that was the first thing on my mind as soon as I staged. I want to put some Drag radials on bad, because I know what this car is capable of ... I just don't want to break anything ..LOL ..

I'll get there ..

I did have a fun time though

Roger that. Andy built a Twin Turbo 2002 Z06 for me and I loved that car. Everyday it didn't rain that car was driven. Took it to the track two times...definitely a learning experience. Congrats and have fun with it.

Part of racing is breaking. I know what you mean by it is your daily, just like my car. If you shift faster as well next time. That and it should crack 1.9-2.0 60 foot times as I can do that in my cobalt on stock tires. Get back to the track and good luck.
