Detailing Question.

Who out there has used a Metro Master Blaster to dry their cars? I was wanting to know if they are worth the money and how long does it take to blow one dry??? I can get the 8hp on sale for 325.00 shipped. Any help would be appreciated!!!

best tip ever is to just take the nozzle off of you hose and give the car a final rinse with the low pressure stream of water, it will cause the water to sheet off and the car will be 85-90% dry

it does work quite well surprisingly.... some of the flat surfaces of the Camaro might have problems with the water pooling but If you live on a hill or have a sloped driveway you're even better off

I use my leaf blower, it blasts enough water off, (after I slow stream it with the hose) to dry easily with a towel.
A washing tip is to get a mitt on a stick or use a hand mitt, wet the mitt an pour the detergent directly onto the mitt and wash the car. Suds will last long time an no bucket.

The micro-fiber towels work very well and are very soft - no scratches.

I've been using a microfiber waffle towel which works great. It's about 3' x 3' in size and dries the entire car without having to wring it out. I suggest washing it every time or maybe every other time to get any debris out of nooks

I don't want to start a fight - but I was told years ago by an auto painter that I know that a shammy pulls/drags hard on the finish and shouldn't be used on nice paint.

I had custom black stripes painted on about a month ago and under florescent lights you can see alot of scraches. The black has no orange peel to hide the scraches. I was think the less I drag something on it the better.
