I did and these questions were not answered on the website:

"More importantly is this a through the console install or a drop the tranny install?"

"So what does the knob look like?"

"Can you post some pics of it installed in a Camaro? Maybe even some pics of the install as well. "

Thank you all for your interest and questions.

The MTI Racing Six Shooter shifter kit is not an entire shifter housing replacement. The kit includes the hardware to convert the shifter. Installation of the shifter requires the transmission to be lowered slightly to remove and install the shifter assembly. The new shifter is designed to use the stock shift knob or an aftermarket knob. The MTI Racing Six Shooter shifter will be available for the V6 and V8 model Camaros. There is no comparision to the Hurst shifter available yet. Hurst is still a few months away from being released. We are accepting pre orders. Call MTI Racing at (770) 919-7774 or visit MTI Racing.com

Does this shifter reduce throw? If so...how much? Aside from the delrin and roller bearings...it looks almost exactly like the stock shifter. Am I missing something?

The last short shift I put in a car was a BMW...and they provided tons of info...so maybe I'm just spoiled...

The throw reduction is around 25%. The kit replaces the stock internal hardware with higher quality components, while retaining the factory housing. The shifter was designed to maximize the feel and precision with little effort. The factory shifter has a lot of "sponge" built into it. We have tested over and over different throw reductions, and we felt that the final version provided the best overall confidence in shifting.
