For anyone who has travelled extensively in China, you will know how completely chaotic driving is there. But the one bright side is that there is almost no traffic enforcement in China and millions of miles of paved roads.

Driving the highways of China is like running a Nascar race. You're nose to tail with the guy in front of you and as soon as you get a fender's length ahead, you can go ahead and cut in. I've had hired drivers pass a slow moving dump truck with his car's hood about 2 feet under the dump truck's rear overhang! YIKES!

I look forward to leading a certain other company in sales and seeing what they do with them, how they mod them, what they get out of them (HP), and if they rave over them as much as we do. ..

Not sure what the Camaro might cost in China but in Brasil it's around 170's. I'm told.

GM release:
RMB 500k? Man....

That's close to $80k here... for a V6? Way too much, for me it is! Not to those CHINAman cousins over there..... Good for GM, & the dealers over there... I think also good for the people over there, to have a taste on American Muscle I guess.

I wouldn't say no enforcement, maybe you're not in the city, every traffic light's got a camera!

There is no way the Chinese will drive a camaro. If it ain't Japanese, they ain't buying it. I've worked with Chinese folks in engineering for the last 15 years and every single one drives a Honda or Toyota. They think American cars are junk.

Well, the V8 Camaro SS have been selling for as much as 1.3 million RMB, and V6 used to cost about 700K RMB. (The unofficial imported ones in China)

There are tons of really nice cars like M3, 911, GT-Rs in major cities like Beijing and Shanghai, while the Camaro is not as nice as the cars I mentioned(let's face it, Camaro is a great car but it's not the same class like cars like M3, 911, and GT-R), it's a lot more rare and really stands out. Some of the rich people in China will pay the extra bucks to get a nice car that's a little more rare. And money is not an issue to a lot of them.

Plus, the 'Transformers' effect will also boost Camaro's recognition in China. so if GM is smart, they should release a special edition Camaro in China that's the exact same as the Transformers 3 Bumble Bee and charge a 25-30% premium for it, and people will buy it.

Well I know why the mark up happens...........I want one of the jobs these clowns have that can pay 75k+ for a v6 camaro

It is a marge translaton, most of the US or European stuff is translated, because it means somethign very different in chinese....some food etc. meant like shit or penis etc....so they had to change it..

Or would you go into a bar and call out: Hey, 10 Penis for me and my frineds!
