Jim Glover Chevrolet - Stay away
I know there are a lot of great dealers and great ebay folks, but I got hosed on this one. I am already besides myself because I lost a Hot Wheels Camaro with 4 seconds to go...that was a ridiculous deal. Now, I actually won this no reserve Camaro auction and they won't sell it to me. They claim they made a mistake and listed it no reserve, but then in the same breath, claim they are ebay experts with all this feedback. Well 84 feedback is less than what I have and they have several negative feedbacks on misrepresented items and bait and switch tactics. I'm doing what I can to get them to sell me the car for what I won the auction for. What can I do??? Can anybody help????

Pretty good deal. No wonder they are trying to back out. Can you file a complaint with E-Bay?

Not much you can do but report them to ebay, but I don't think you'll get very far because ebay allows for a sale to be cancelled due to those types of "mistakes".

i have a buddy that found a new z-71 on the lot this year that had a misprint on the sticker, while he did'nt get it for the posted price, he did get a awesome deal. we're talking about 15k less than it should be. 1st thing he did was took a picture of the sticker before it could be altered
not a e-bay expert, but it should say sold right?

I have bought 5 new vehicles from Jim Glover and have them do all my upgrades and service work, they are top notch and never had a problem with them...Jared Glover (The Owners Son) is part of our Camaro Club as with one of his sales men....dispute through ebay and email Jim Glover or Jared Glover directly from the emails listed on their website.

I know if the dealer was here in New Jersey, they can get into serious trouble for false advertising. I think the penalty is 3x the damages. At a minimum, I'd file a complaint with that states Attorney General office and Ebay.
But in most of these cases, your damages are the difference you have to pay to buy same car. And you'd probably have to buy another car and go after the difference. |

Did you actually buy it on eBay? Or is it just a listing?
I see the new price here.... http://m.ebay.com/itm/360928790972?nav=SEARCH |

Well that was just too sweet a deal (and you knew it). I've dealt with Glover on 3 Camaros and you won't find any support for your tirade here in the Midwest (or probably on EBay either). Lot's of EBay listings get cancelled for lot's of reasons - failing to click the "reserve" price is just one of many. Get over it and get on down the road.

I've been to that dealership and they were pretty on top of things. I would keep calling them to get the deal.

They made a mistake in the price, bashing a good reputable dealer over it is stupid. Would you eat $10,000 for a mistake in price?
I already know the answer.....NO
