NJ inspection question - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Sorry if this was asked already but I just got back to Jersey today from cali been gone like 7 years due to military but I need my car inspected idk if I will pass I have LTs, cam, no cats, supercharger, and exhaust. Does anyone no if I will pass.

NJ has become a plug it in state, if not codes you pass, but they still check for CATS!

So what about a private inspector do you no anything about them?

I'll post this once...lol Artful is correct, they will pass you for anything. However, when they drive over the rollers, they check for the presence of cats. If you have something on there that makes it look like cats, they won't look twice. As far as the ECU check, as long as there are lights on, you'll be fine.

If you choose to use a private inspector, chances are that they'll more likely pass you. It all depends on their morals and how they feel that day. If you weld on some cans to make it look like you have cats, then go through the free one first.
