GM doesn't care about my clutch issues

I'm so disappointed and disillusioned. But to state facts:

My clutch pedal occasionally sticks to the floor or half-way up. I consider this a potential safety issue as I could be half-way through an intersection or pulling out into traffic and be unable to shift to 2nd gear. Additionally, the clutch stinks badly under heavy load (such as starting from a stop on an incline or driving aggressively). My dealership (Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, TX) originally was very helpful and went so far as to replace the clutch in an effort to resolve the issue. When it didn't, they said, "well, that's actually normal." I escalated to GM customer service but eventually got the same answer. A fellow Camaro5 member then helped me escalate it within GM via a very helpful GM employee. He submitted the issue for me internally which got me in touch with the "GM Executive Office." The person handling my case there was initially very sympathetic and agreed that a new vehicle should not have these problems. She arranged for a GM regional service manager to come see my car. I demonstrated the issue for him on my car and on a dealer stock car. He spoke with the Camaro brand quality manager and the clutch engineer, who said they had never heard of this problem before, despite all the people on this site who say they have the same issues and that they've reported it. Based on the fact that they haven't gotten any complaints to that level except mine, they've decided that it's not a big enough issue to spend resources on. Everyone with GM that I've spoken with previously agreed with me that these issues are not "normal" and should not be acceptable, but now they are all towing the company line. One went so far as to tell me that if I didn't like it, I can call the Better Business Bureau. That's the last thing I ever thought I'd do, but I guess I will.

If anyone has any suggestions or ability to escalate further, I beg you to help however you can. As it sits now, my 2010 Camaro is the last GM vehicle I'll ever buy, and I'll be putting it up for sale. I can't enjoy it anymore.

mine too. I've said it before I'll say it again. User error.
Yes it's happened to me too. But guess what I was doing at the time. Driving aggressively.

That's fine, you're entitled to your opinion. But you aren't in the car with me when it happens. I had the GM regional guy and the dealership service manager in my car and reproduced it, and they both agreed with me that I was not driving it aggressively at all...just started from a stop on an incline, without even much throttle. Look at my sig...this is my 4th manual-transmission Camaro. None before this one had these problems. It's not me, it's the car.

Well see, you used the words "under heavy load" and "driving aggressively". After reading that I have a hard time beliving its the car.
You're right I'm not in the car with you. But do you think this might be an issue that arised from you driving aggressively?

even if it has to do with him driving aggressively, this is suppose to be a muscle car and is still pretty new, it should be able to handle being driven "aggressively" as long as he is shifting / working the clutch, properly.

You're right I'm not in the car with you. But do you think this might be an issue that arised from you driving aggressively?

Well, consider this. I drive my '91 Camaro the same way. It's still on its stock clutch. 202,000 miles. I'm sure it did not start because I drove it aggressively. I reproduced the issue by starting from a stop on an incline on a dealer stock car with less than 10 miles on it.

I might. But then I void my powertrain warranty. That's a big issue for me given the assortment of issues I've had.

But you should be able to drive "aggressively" with this car. This car was not meant to be sold to little old grandma that drives it to church. If so, I guess GM could just stick a 4 banger in it and it can be driven that way.

I do not own one yet, just waiting for the right time but when I do, I do not expect a clutch that "sticks" at the floor or half way up. If they can't make a hydraulic clutch that is foolproof then they should get back to the basic cable system.

I've been following some of the other threads about these clutch issue's. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't there new clutch part numbers (plates,fly wheel, bearings). So doesn't that signify that GM is aware there is a problem and fixed it with these new parts?

I don't think an after market clutch is the real fix for this issue, the real fix is GM standing by there product and doing whats right for there customers.
