People are stupid, they need warnings generally.

I take it this yellow wire is in the plug that connects to the window switch? Is it yellow on both doors, and what do we use for the ground? I received my lights yesterday and already installed them, now I just need to wire them.

Yeah, I didn't have the same colored wires posted above so rather than guess I'm taking it to my local Oracle to be installed.

Guys, I am the originator of this thread. I never approved of or agreed with using the power window wires. I was skeptical of this from the get go. Some complained that the lights aren't always on with the ABL, well mine are. All cars should come equipped with wiring for ABL even if not there. Red is 12V positive and blk is ground. Just tap into, don't cut and you should not have any issues.

Good luck and enjoy! 1 year and mine r still great!!! :

WTF is an ABL? Common sense says hook em up to the little light button that turns the interior light on when you open the door. Right?

Ambient lighting

The little glowing light pipes in 2SS or 2LT doors is called Ambient lighting. To run door lights off door you would need to run a wire into doors. This is hard, because its a plug, not boot filled with wires. I did custom wiring on mine for moving ABL and drilled out the plugs to transfer wiring. But I'm the ledgod.

Yes Rob3d. I always run my dash full lite, unless on an extended night drive. Yes, they will dim with dash switch.

I just bought a set of these the other day. I got the gold bowtie with the ring. $14! Haha.

I wish I could get blue ones like the ones you got. Might look again for a new set, like the blue camaro ones. Those would look awesome!

So today is the day I just got a new drill. I have the ofer red rs camaro set. Was thinking either two on the fron bumper comers facing down or one in front and one in rear? Can someone please post pics from under car if installed on front bumper. Just wanted ideas of best placement or any other spots besides door panel. Really wanted to do side mirrors but that's way more then I wanna get into plus drilling my mirrors not the best idea I think lol
