This exact same thing happened to me. The dealer replaced it under warranty.

Probably depends on your ending date of your 3 year/36,000 miles.

i replaced my own when it broke -- $10 part and 2 minutes of my time.
but if you want to take it to the dealer, they can do the same. i just don't trust the dealership not to scrape my car.

So is this a hard thing to replace? The dealership replaced it for me for free under my warranty but i have yet to go let them replace it. I work two jobs and go to school and so my time is limited to when I can go get it fixed. I talked to them briefly the other day I told them I got off at 330 and they told me the service dept closes at 4 and said they couldnt get it replaced in that amount of time. Im like is it really that hard. So they just told me when I got some free time to swing by and theyd do it. Im tempted to just do it myself but wasnt sure how hard it was to do.

i took a plastic knife and gently pried the broken emblem from each side until one side popped out and then the other. The emblem has little legs on the back that insert into the plate on the grille. It can only fit one way, and you have to peel the flat plastic off the back so that the 3M adhesive sticks to the plate. I recommend cleaning the plate real well with alcohol and letting it dry a minute before putting on the new emblem. Then press into place tightly and hold it for 10-20 seconds to make sure it is a solid stick.
