Torque Specs for crankshaft pulley LS3

Does anyone know what the final torque would be around after you follow the initial torque of 37 ft lbs and then turn an additional 140 degrees?

its a one time use stretch bolt that is why its in degrees and not torque

understood, but there is limited room to properly identify when you have reached that 140 degree mark, just wondering if anyone checked the torque after the 140 degree?

You use the OLD crank bolt and torque it to 240 ft/lb to secure the balancer in place...remove it...and install a NEW crank bolt...torque to 37ft/lb then 140 degrees. Just mark the bolt and then mark the balancer at 140 degrees from the mark on the bolt.

What this guy said. For me, it was basically as tight as I could get it with a 2ft breaker bar.

Sorry to bring back from the dead, but 37 ft lb plus 140 will not always equal a certain ft lb. It has to do with bolt stretch, not torque in ft lbs. For instance the one I just did this morning at 141* on my snap on torque wrench (digital) showed the final ft lb to be 274. I see this all the time on head bolts, just because they are 22 ft lbs + 90* + 70* doesnt mean they always end at the same torque in ft lbs. Some will end around 85-90 where some will be at 70-75.

Proper bolt stretch is key to ensure proper clamp. Thread distortion, debris in bolt holes, will skew ft lb readings, but will no skew direct torque angle.
