The time is almost here! Ordering my rims by tomorrow or friday, 23lbs each, just need some nice tires. Vararam intake and new DMH cut outs sitting in boxes waiting to be put on.
With the colder air than when I ran stock, if Vararam's claims are true, and my wheel/tire prediction holds up (which others have proven), I expect to run 13.5 with just 18 inch rims, street tires, intake, and cut outs on a stock exhaust. Heres my ricer math. 14.3 in 85+ degree temp. -0.3 for vararam claims -0.4 going from 20s to 18s -0.15 for cut outs = ~0.8 improvement in time. 14.3 - 0.8 = 13.5 Then factor in a temperature drop of almost 30+ degrees. Low 13s could be possible. The launch will make or break it. I'll definitely hit a 13.7 though no doubts there. 2-3 more weeks...anyone in NY want to join me? Ill go to just about any strip in NJ NY or PA. |

I am hoping to be on the track Sunday. The weather changes by the minute. They call for sunny then showers and back and forth. I will know Sunday morning. Plan is to run my stock 19's again to see what the Trifecta
cam phase tune and the new throttle body has done for my 1/4 mile times. Then I will go back in a few weeks, hopefully with the drag radials that I just picked up (well they are in the mail) and run again. Temps here are now in the low 50's in the morning and highs of 60's. Sure do love that cold air.

Whoa, a lots happened since I last checked in!
Congrats to all the guys running in the 13s with your bolt ons! I'm also sad to hear everyone is switching to the Vararam - I just got my Airaid v2 :/ Anyway, I'm going to be doing some track prep to the Camaro with hopes of running auto-x and Sebring next Spring (18's with Nitto NT-01s, Spohn links, SS springs, SS front brakes and pads, etc) So once I'm under that set up, I'll plan to include some 1/4 runs to finally throw in my numbers... As for the e85 work, I'm def considering the tune now because I would love to try running corn syrup. Maybe I'll jump the tune over some of the other mods to see how that works. After all that hot air, I guess I just wanted to say congrats on all the hard work - looks like its paying off!

Good luck stand-al0ne!
If the first threads were updated, I don't think there would be a single 14 second time in the bolt ons section anymore. With the corn juice, tires, and some supporting bolt ons, low 13s is definitely possible, as mid 13s has already been done on stock tires with that setup.

On my bucket list
Time Sheet
Stock LS V6 M6, Flowmaster Axle Back, K&N CAI AT, no other performance mods. First and last 1/4 run, it was on my bucket list! I am in the right lane, left lane broke on the burnout, good for me since he was an '02 SS V8 running nitrous.....and I sucked on the tree! I guess this run is OK given that it is a manual tranny and I tried shifting right at 7K. Never got out of 4th gear..... |

my entry - 13.9979
Tires used on the pass: Stock 19" Perilli P-Zero Nero
Performance Mods (if any): Injen Longtube, SLP Catback, Pedders Lowering Springs Transmission: A6 Category submitted for: Bolt-Ons R/T............1.318 60'.............2.1128 330'...........5.9288 660'...........9.0328 660’ mph...78.81 1000'..........11.7281 1320'..........13.9979 1320’ mph…99.79 Name of the track: US 41 Dragway Date of pass:10/01/2011 Weather conditions: 53.6 F Humidity 51 % 30.26 in DA: 172 My stock tires are at the tread wear indicator. This was my first time at an official track - having survived my youth in Lawrence County Ohio where nearly all roads were traffic free . My very first run was 14.68, nannies were all on and I launched as if leaving a red light. Next run was this one. I launched it more aggressively with TC off but still from idle (no loading). Two more runs with loading and all nannies off 1200 RPM, nothing but tire spin when I took off so I aborted the runs. The one that went well:

Here is a video of my run. The guy next to me thankfully broke after the burnout of would have had my butt handed to me! A V6 vs. and older V8 with nitrous.... It was the first time I heard my Flowmaster AT Axleback from outside the car! |

By the way................nice run, however, it would be better if you listed your info. the way it is shown in the opening posts. Just copy and paste that and then edit it for your own info.
