GMAC ISSUE - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Quick one for you guys, maybe a dealer can step in....Got my new SS 12/31, turned in my 07 Impala SS which lease was up....on 1/20 GMAC deducted a payment out of my checking account for the normal payment amount I paid for my Impala...I called up they said it was a mistake and to fax over a copy of my bank statement and will be reimbursed within 48 hours...called back today to make sure they got all the paper work...talked with 3 people, who I could barley understand, and they stated although they took out the payment by mistake, they are going to keep the money as a security deposit until my Impala is all checked out for damages...Is this liget that they can just take money out of my account "by accident" and refuse to pay it back??

Nope... Call your bank and block it! Just make sure you document every conversation. Names/Date's/Times. That's crazy. I would put a hold on that account ASAP.

They already took the payment out 5 days ago, I talked to the dealer and they said they will look into it

Good luck. Issues with GMAC are very hard to fix.

Yeah I told them, I would like my money back SO I can collect the .0005% interest , boggels my mind these people, and all with THICK accents I could hardly understand!!
