Yes sir I do, luckily I still have all my links from when I was doing my research and back and forth with Gabe over at comp cam's who is one helpful guy over there. BUT I got light in the loafers when it came down to pulling the trigger on the cam lol. SHOULD OF GONE BIGGER! I was happy for about 2 weeks lol.

GMHTP also used this cam in a 3 part series on a 408

congrats on the 418. cant wait to see how you like it.

curious as to why you would get a low end torquey motor then a cam that will move the band up.

i hope you upgrade the valvetrain as much as you did the block. plan plan research plan plan research.

That cam has less overlap than a G6X3 and the extra 42 cubes will soak up more duration. What are your goals exactly? RPM range and exhaust system too?

I'm trying to get as much tolerable grunt in a broad range given the SS is both my DD and weekend track car. I've never had a good feel for the G6 cam since the car was never set up right to begin with.

I won't skimp on valvetrain since I'd rather not go through builds as a habit. Look.

Strokers will make the torque throughout the band regardless. I'm sure it's going to have 500ft lbs by 3600-4000 with the bigger cam.

that cam is close to the intake lift of the g6, but the exhaust is way bigger and 111 to 114. i like the cam litle88 posted. ive been thinking of a stroker for a while started to do it last winter but then decided i wanted a vette now back to thinking a stroker.

I'm with Little88 on this one. That stroker is going to handle more duration without getting unruly. The cam you have chosen is by no means large for that cube motor and I definitely agree that 430lbs of open pressure is excessive.

Depending on what your goals are: RPM, where you want the power, avg. HP etc. You should not have any issues making the numbers you quoted and even more if you use some different heads/larger cam.
