First Time Camaro Owner
So I bought my first Camaro over the weekend, a Black 2010 SS (Black stripes are in the works, I'll post pics once they actually get installed). Got it at Wentworth Chevy in Portland, which as a side note is a great place to buy a car and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone. The thing is an awesome drive and I've been struggling keeping myself from burning about a tank of super every day. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't had my eye on one of these ever since I saw the first Transformers movie, and I'm trying to come up with a name for it that is Transformers (also considering the batmobile).
So I've been perusing the site for the last couple days and I can't believe all of the information you have around here. I've got a question though to get started and it refers to the Daytime Running Lights. Now my car has the HIDs and the halos and I was under the impression that the DRL's were synonymous with the halos but now that I'm actually paying attention to them I'm finding out that they aren't. So my question: is there any way that you can set the DRLs to be the halos (I'm talking about some sort of setting because I don't care enough at this point to actually rewire it if that's even possible). I think that as far as DRLs go, the halos look about a thousand times better. |

Welcome to Camaro5 and enjoy your Camaro! Can't wait to see your pics with the black stripes on. Are they matt black? That is what I wanted on my 2011 Camaro untill I upgraded for my 2013 SS.

Yep they are matte black. The Ashen Gray with Black stripes was actually my first choice but you can't be picky when buying used and now that I'm getting the black on black I'm really excited about it.

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
 oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
