To attach the battery cables, using the stock cables and they just clamp onto the tall brass/copper looking screw-in posts that you can get with the battery? Positive-right side post battery reccomended?

What if you leave the car sitting for weeks at a time in between start ups will the battery be dead?

Probably, the longest mine had sat is three days.

Mine is half way through year two as a daily driver and no problems at all.

I'm doing some removable audio and when its in I think that one battery is good, if not, two of them are still lighter than stock. LOL I figure one will be fine though.
I'm mounting amps and processor to a vulcanized fiber or carbon/kevlar panel that will unscrew from behind back seat...plugs on all wiring, power and ground distribution on the board. I want to be able to drag race and not have the audio weight.

This is a good find. Just curious to know if my car would be dead as I sometimes do not drive the car for up to 2 weeks in between...not often occurrence, but I guess if it came down to it I could just jump it with my Escape...

In the normal course of use, the battery is strictly used for starting the car. After the starter has disengaged, the alternator should run all electrical systems and still be providing amperage to the battery for continuous charging. For us old knuckle busters, you will remember checking you alternator was as easy and staring the car and turning everything on and disconnecting the battery. If it stalls the alternator was shot.

Sux, what was the purpose of making the alternator less efficient (not sure that is the right term) in this discussion

If you're not going to start the car for a couple of weeks or more you can buy a battery conditioner for around $20 (sometimes they're cheaper at HarborFreight), connect it to your battery and plug it into an outlet for a day once-a-week, and that will keep your battery charged up.

I like. That battery is no bigger than the one for my bike.

I've seen one in the Camaro accessories catalog (or Chevy Mall or whatever it's called) that even has "Camaro" written on it. If one were so inclined. I just did a search and couldn't find it but I swear I saw it some place.

I didn't install the underdrive pulley to specifically make the alternator less efficient. The underdrive pulley slows down all the accessories to free up horsepower.
