I did find out the guy selling it is selling it for the owner at his shop. The guy was not sure about the year now when I asked him about it.

last time I checked there is none such thing as a car with 150,000 miles with immaculate paint... unless it's been repainted. I have a 92 z28 with about 28,000 miles on it now and MY PAINT DOESN'T EVEN LOOK THAT GOOD.

unless it has 1500 miles on it I wouldnt pay 7k for the car, with out going through it with a VERY fine tooth come & they need all paperwork for the car.

sometihng doesnt seem right, aruond here Yes you see those go for 7000-15000 but I wouldnt by them.

3rd gen camaros should be right about 3-4k

Heck if you want to spend that kind of money you could go out & get a nice 4th gen or a c4 or c5 corvette for that price

Agree, mileage too high and the repaint etc. I had a neighbor a 12,000 mile black ragtop cherry 89 IROC and he finally sold it for 10k after trying to get 12k for a year and it was near perfect. On another note, bought my 96 SS with 150k and a rebuilt engine for $4300 last year easily, although it's T-top, LT1 6speed. Seems more like a 5k car to me.

Now that car has an IROC-Z badge on the bumper, but incorrect Z28 badges on the ground effects. Those should say IROC-Z as well. Might be a real IROC, i'd just look into that.
Not always correct--mine says Z28 with IROC-Z in small letters below it on the rocker.

It looks like an excellent buy. Find out if it's got the 2.73 or 3.23 running gear, though... Otherwise looks good!! Also, the FYI the stripes were vinyl--took mine off with a hair-dryer.

The badges on the side of the car are incorrect. In 1988, the Z28 badging on the car went away and all outside markings said IROC-Z. It was not a mid year change. The car was repainted and these badges were probably all that was available at the time. It's possible the badges were supposed to be red and those are next to impossible to find.

The 1985 thru 1987 IROC-Z said Z28 on the rocker panel. The 88-90 IROC-Z said IROC-Z on the rocker. The 91 and 92 Z28s went back to the Z28 badge.
