Just moved back to CA, quick smog opinion needed

So I just moved back from Pennsylvania, where emissions were much more relaxed than they are here. Tomorrow I'll be replacing all my stock parts, intake, TB, LT headers and hi-flo cats. The only thing not stock on the car will be the comp cam. Of course the question is, after replacing the external parts, should my car pass CA smog with the cam? Without retuning? Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm attempting to sell my car, and need to attempt to smog it this week. Thank you

My understanding is that the new smog procedures are to plug into your obd port and check for codes. If there are no codes and you pass the visual (which you should since your going back to stock parts) you should be fine. No more sniffer test

I have heard the same.... no more sniffer.

I recently had to smog a 2002 Corolla. The f'n OBD codes were cleared after various repairs (new battery, new catalytic converter), but the car must be driven a certain distance, and/ or certain drive conditions must be met before the smog reader will accept the codes as COMPLETELY cleared. I ended up driving around pointlessly for over 600 miles --- after repair, and check engine lights were off--- just to get the codes to be accepted.

I have a hard time believing that my 600 miles of pointless driving around will result in a net reduction of emissions into the atmosphere. But, hey, California.

It's actually 100 miles after repairs or reconnecting the battery. If no codes come up then it's clear.

Just replace the exhaust. TB shouldn't be an issue because the stock one isn't stamped. Just make sure you have the factory air box installed.

dont need the factory airbox if you have a CARB approved CAI - Volant has a certified and approved system...
