Yours stayed like that? I was cruising down the highway, and I would reset the MPG to where it read high (38 MPG) so I could take pictures and show my friends so they would be like "HOLY COW", but right when I pressed it, it would very quickly drop as I was trying to take pictures.

I had the cruise at 65.

Actually the RPM rises when AFM kicks in. The TCM is set to unlock the converter during AFM to minimize surge.

Actually, engine is running and you're not moving so it wouldn't be that high.
If you are sitting at a stop light and reset the MPG, it will read 0. And 0mpg would be exactly what you are getting sitting still.

If you reset the meter when your going downhill it will max the MPG, because the computer shuts off the fuel and just lets the momentum keep the engine going. Fun but its a trick.

My RPM drops when I shift into a higher gear... dig it?
