My previous vehicle, 2006 Dodge Magnum R/T, had a 5.7L v8 with cylinder shutoff (v4 mode). I averaged 20.5 mpg on my daily commute. My best all out effort in that car on my daily commute hit 23 mpg.
The 2001 SS M6 that I have now hits 23 mpg without even trying. If I "enjoy the on ramps" I will get 22. If I just drive normally I can hit 24 mpg, but the throttle is just too inviting. Not bad for a 10 year old sports car! My commute is a total mix of all road types and is about 26 miles one way. I don't really run around town in the Camaro much so I don't have a good city only number. |
