I'm aware of that, but it was suggested earlier in this thread that they do that.

It will once that other Z is announced.

I bet both Z cars will not have the mail slot.

Why would there be a "1LE" sub forum? Its an add on not a different car completely.

The 1LE is much more than an Add-on. But it is an option. Which is a good thing. You can have your Track Camaro any way you want it. I can't wait to see the finished car and experience on the track.

Mix a 1LE with a little of this and a little of that and what do you get?

As to potential oiling problems caused by "excessive cornering G's", if that were true then the ZL1 wouldn't have a wet-sump LSA...
Good point. I was referring to this article, but it seems like it's only a problem after redline of a stock engine?

Quote:
Oiling needs help (road-racing or stroker engines): LS engine oil pumps bypass too much oil, plus poor oil drain-back and foaming is a serious problem over 6,500 rpm. Go to a modified aftermarket oiling system and pan. For road racing, consider an ARE dry-sump.

I wished I saved everything I read. My memory is in need of a hard-drive upgrade. I think there is baffling inside the ZL1's LSA's pan to minimize any potential of oil cavitation....I may be off point but I read something along those lines recently. There is more to that set-up than one would imagine. It's a well crafted and though out deal, albeit a tame 480 cam.

And thank you for sharing that. I just looked up the information and the ZL1 does have oil system changes. The 1LE press release says the 1LE gets the ZL1 fuel system changes, but nothing about oil system changes. So are there oil system changes or not for the 1LE 1g track capable car? Here is what they did to the ZL1:

Quote:
Instead of the Corvette’s elaborate dry-sump lubrication system, the ZL1 has a deeper oil pan, a longer pickup, and a higher-capacity pump.
