hopefully Gen V but why would a camaro get a gen V before the vette... not happening and how much better can you make an ls3....
make it have AFM DOD, get 30 mpg with 430 hp and 430 lbft... with manual variable valve timing... redline of 7000... like... engines cant get that much better... we just need the ls3 to have all of these and theres your gen v

So, Fbodfather please feel free to quote this post and put a 'nope' beside the things that aren't going to happen. It will relieve much of the confusion here. Thank you in advance.

or vice versa with the whole z28 and ss thing going on... that could be what he meant... that could mean nope to ss being z28 and nope to z28 being ss... for all we know the z28 could be an ls9 supercharged... and the ss has the ls3

inside info tells me there will be an ls3 in some trim....
and it seems logical...g8 gxp... corvette ... it wouldn't make sense for them to NOT put it in...

hell maybe there will be a camaro gt and gxp... lol

This regurgitation that every one is doing with brining the old back and and retro this and that. It's just not exiting anymore, or is it?

What if GM is thinking about comming up with a whole new trim level? Sure SS and Z/28 are the classics we want to see back but that's what Ford did with GT500 and Cobra right? Maybe there is something else we don't know and Fbodfather is just laughing about all the misleading info we keep feeding each other. It's like being in middle school again talking about the girl we hook up with and lied about it.

Taking the pessimistic route...

Maybe not available at launch, maybe not available at all. Fashionably late to the party perhaps with a hot date (the vert)?

Maybe not late at all, maybe not coming right off, but I think we know the SS will come.

Not the LSA? No 550hp? No LSA in the SS, maybe its in the Z28...oh the engine specualtion spools up again........

Depends on who your sources are I suppose.

Okay - I just read the model /options packaging of the 1969 Camaro.

RS was apprearance package (headlight doors, etc)

SS was 350 V8 Muncie 4 speed

Z28 was super exotic, made for Trans Am racing series

So, now I think launch model will be SS LS3

With Z28 coming later with maybe supercharged V8, maybe DI Gen 5

You know, this car is fun and it isn't even available yet!

Finally got home, just watched it... holy crap! Like someone said earlier, that Camaro was roaring around the corners like it was trying to break the corner for making it turn! Sounded incredible, my faith remains strong!

I'll take whatever version sounded like this one! 2009 can not come fast enough!!! I can't take it!!!
