Spring does work I did the reservoir separation long ago and did the fluid swaps - it helped a ton. Although at CamarofestII my pedal stuck to the floor once and clutch burned and burned when it happened - quite the helpless feeling. Cost me a clutch and flywheel! I installed the LPE spring a few weeks after the new ZR1 clutch was intalled at Loud Pedal Motorsports in Chandlier on the Sunday after the Fest.

Have had zero problems since.... Graham at Lingenfelter filled me in on the whole theory of why it works and made alot of sense. LPE has ran the their Black Camaro till the fluid is black just to prove the spring works even with dirty brake fluid. I'd still separate the reservoirs though... you don't want clutch dust in your brake system. With the spring, clutch fluid swaps will still help the system from wearing out early.

I'm having the sticking issue and got the return spring. It keeps the pedal up but the first 3/4 of the pedal does nothing. So yes it keeps the pedal up but doesn't actually fix the problem.

I've not read all of the posts, but at least 75% of them. Took me over an hour! Wow...

Great thread, a little bloated... (figured I'd add to the bloating).

I noticed a severe lack of v6 owners doing this.

Seems like the same setup would work for us LS/LT owners...

The 3 offering parts (bracket/hose-other hardware/reservior) PM me please.

I checked my brake fluid res and noticed it had brake fluid on/around the res. The cap was a slight bit off from locked position. Cleaned it and looked at the fluid. It was dark - but couldn't tell if it had debris in it. My LS has 4900 miles on it. I'm very anxious to do this mod if it seems possible.

Thanks.

I believe I may one of the few, if not the only v6 owner to have done it.

Forgot to ask the risk of damage to the factory warranty....

nak3dsnake, which bracket/mounting did you go with... did you use the GTO res? Full bleed out or just suction out and refill?

GTO res with 2010CAMAROJ bracket. Changed the fluid by bleeding the first time to remove any air in the system. After that I just refresh it when it gets dark brown using a syringe I bought at hobby lobby. Clutch dust does get into the system, it will collect at the bottom of one end of the reservoir. I would recommend V6 owners do this too. I'll take a pic of my setup tomorrow.

Sweet! My step-daughter works at Hobby Lobby... but I want the little hose on the syringe... hmm.

Gotta do this... even the wife is like "oh my gawd... honey... you gotta do that..."

She's cool, even though she drives an 07 Mustang.

Page 12 post 277 is the GTO clutch reservoir install on my 2LT.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=34085&page=12

Along with my catch can... one of my smartest mods for sure. I flush the clutch reservoir 2 or 3 times a year and never have to touch the brake reservoir now.

Ok, I haven't been on this thread for ages and I didn't have the time to read through again last night. It is one of the best small mods you can do.
