Non BA basic speaker upgrade. No amps. Just speaker upgrade suggestions please.
So I have a non BA system. I only want to upgrade the speakers....maybe. I plan on keeping the stock head unit and have no interest in installing an amp. I searched and most posts are all about adding an amp.
So what speakers are the best improvement for a non amped, non BA system? I plan on replacing the rear deck speakers and door speakers, keeping the stock head unit, what do you recommend?

I went with JL Audio 6.5 component speakers up front and JL Audio 6x9 Coaxes on the back.

You should look at the sensitivity or efficiency rating of the speaker. You should strive for the highest you can get if you are not replacing the amp. Anything over 90db is good. I searched for 94db. This will determine the loudness.

Get your balls out of your mouth and reread what I asked. I read most of those, they discuss installation and most discuss an amp. Those I found helpful I have already book marked for when install time comes. However, that was not my question. I want to see what others are using and if they recommend those speaker brands. I want brand of speakers (model number) that work well with the factory head unit and no amp. Those above this reply that where helpful, thanks, appreciate the info!

Walk into Best Buy, Car Toys or your local retailer and purchase some $50 speakers off the wall that sound good to YOU.
