Actually what you are seeing there are the outboard (curb-side) wheel weights. Most alum. wheels now use stick-on weights on the inside of the rim just behind the spokes that kind of rest up next to a small groove in the rim. This design replaces the old clamp-on weights that used to be all ugly and nasty on the outboard flanges of most older wheels. There is still another set of balance weights on the inboard (suspension-side) of the rim as well. Usually these are the standard clamp-on style since they are never seen, however some manufacturers use stick on for the inboard as well. Also, since the gov't has banned lead from being used for wheel weights anymore, manufacturers have been forced to switch to steel weights which aren't as dense so it takes more blocks of weight to acheive the same balance compared to the old lead ones.

Whew! Sorry 'bout that... I deal with this crap every day so I may have gone overboard there. Hopefully that helps explain it a little bit.

How's the back seat RickRay? Is there any room for a human? I didn't sit back there when I had a chance at the auto show.

I`m tall 6`2" so my seat is all the way back and there is about 3-5 inches...so no there is no room on my side .The passenger side the seat when its up forward there is room for teenagers. The other day I picked up my 15 yr old daughter and her friend and they sat in the back but I had to advance my seat up to accomadate her. Little kids should be OK. But I did not buy it for the kids
