Car products

Just ordered Menzerna Super Finish Polish SF 4000 and some Chemical Guys Pete's '53 Black Pearl Signature Paste Wax to do my car this weekend, any comments, thoughts?

Previously I have only used Meguiars Ultimate liquid wax, hope this stuff is better.

Yea SF4000 won't do much if you have swirls or never polished before.

Im acctually gonna use it on my new truck. I have never washed it, only wash I think is the abuse the dealer does to it before selling. I have seen a few straight line scratches, i think from the sandpaper towel he used to dry it.

No swirls that I have seen.

Why do they sell it if it doesnt take out any swirls/scartches?

It's meant for a fine jeweling after a more aggressive compound such as FG400. Although if your truck is new and doesn't have swirls, it may create a difference.

Used the Menzerna Super Finish Polish SF 4000 and acutally didnt use the Petes 53, but used some Menzerna Color Lock Carnauba Wax.
I tried the Petes 53 on my hood, and the Menzerna on the roof, and found that the Menzerna felt smoother.

Either way, it looks good. Also did my Camaro, did that with the Petes.

Looks good, next time I do it, I am gonna use a sealant. I just bought the truck, so wanted to get the dealerships marks of it ASAP. Didnt think about a sealant.

The Menzerna is a great polish, and should be used as a finishing polish, not for paint correction. I have used it many times with great outcomes.

I didnt have swirls, or fading. Just wanted a bit of polish before waxing.
