LS3 Forged Stroker Engine Build By Jannetty Racing

After installing a Edlebrock E-Force S/C on my car a few months back I have decided to have a forged stroker engine built by Jannetty Racing. Currently my car dyoned in at 588 Rwhp with the mods listed in my signature below.

For the last few weeks Ted has been patiently working with me to find the best stroker kit he can. As of this morning the final choice was a Eagle crank, rods and pistons all forged. The kit will have a lower compression ratio of 9.5 to 1 which will allow him to turn up the boost on the S/C. Also it will now be a 416 cubic inch engine instead of the stock 376 cubic inches.

While the engine is apart I am also doing a camshaft, valve springs, trunion upgrade, hardend push rods and reseating the stock valves.

As of rite now the plan also includes a meth injection system, and a new ZR1 twin disc clucth set up.

My car is already at Jannetty racing with the engine and trans removed. The engine has been dis-assembled and sent to the machine shop for the machine work to be done. The stroker kit from eagle should be here hopefully by the end of this week.

I am a motor head from way back and have always built all of my own engines. It was a very hard decision for me to hand over my car to some one else. But I have never built a LS series engine before. I can not say enough good things about Ted and all of his guys there. They are a class act. Everytime I call (which is a lot) they always take my call or call me rite back if they are busy. I also can tend to be a little over anxious at times (to say the least) and Ted has way of calming me down and putting the whole picture into perspective. Ted has spent the last Two weeks reserching all of the kits out there to make sure that I am getting the best bang for my buck!!

As I get updates or pics from Jannetty I will post up for all to see.

You're lucky to have a good shop doing it for you. That power WILL need suspension real soon or you can't hook up right!

No disrespect to you or Ted, but be sure the water & oil cooling system is upgraded as well.
The meth is an excellent addition! Especially if you do progressive style!

That's a really good question. Those sweet LS3 heads along with a blower cam are really going to flow well. I can see this engine producing lots of power.....it's just not going to do it with a whole lot of boost. Which isn't all bad.

I picked up the car on Saturday from Jennetty and all I can say is OMG!!!

The car dyoned at 613 RWHP and a incredible 602 foot pounds of torque.

I can not thank Ted and his guys enough for all of the effort they put into this build. As I said in a earlier post I am not always the most patient person in the world but it was so worth it.

The best part about all of this is that I have plenty of room to keep adding more horse power as I can afford it. My next Mod will be to upgrade the fuel system as the car is out of fuel pressure. Once I do that I can think about adding more boost.

The car is being detailed today I will try to post up some pics and a video soon.

Be careful after you've been driving the car for a while and the fuel pump is hot. It tends to loose pressure much faster and you could lean out in boost. In fact, if you don't have a better fuel system, I wouldn't get into boost, when the fuel pump is hot. I remember when my previous car was cold and I'd punch it, the pressure stayed and once it was hot, the pressure would drop very fast.
