So around 11 p.m. and not being able to sleep. I got into my Camaro and headed out for a drive on the highway. Grabbed an ice tea, got in the car, cruised to 75 mph and put on some classic rock.

As I'm driving down the highway reflecting on the last year, I'm thinking....

I freakin love this car and so glad I bought it.

Believe it or not, driving the Camaro made me feel better. All I needed was a little "me" time in the Camaro. It wouldn't have been the same in my 2004 Honda CRV.

Probably sounds weird to most of you, but had to share a Camaro story.

When coming home from work I never took the scenic route. Used to own a hyundai sonata, now I take the scenic route home almost all the time. Its only like a mile difference. Its nice to have a car that can help clear your mind from time to time.

Having a car you like never hurts. I've only driven my Sol GXP April-Dec since new, and it has 54K miles, basically from driving around at night in the spring and summer for fun or a little car therapy. I expect my 1SS will be exactly the same...but at 75% of the gas mileage, lol

Just do like me and buy another "girlfriend" erase and replace lol. There are plenty of other "juiceboxes" in the supermarket.

I do that about 3 days a week. The other 4 days -- its me and my 5 year old daughter -- Although she loves running around in her PJs all day on the weekend, making a mess with barbies all over the house.

Since i have my car, the 2 best things that help me to relax on any situation are driving it and washing it... Driving this car is like 2 hours getting a massage leave me relax and peace full, washing it make me enjoy it, touching it, waxing it! It's like making love to a beautifull curvy body! Leaving me with a nice after i done with it! I Just step back and enjoy all her beauty! I'm so happy with it that i not even get mad when my Camaro fan lovers make fun of me because how i write...

No, not the same at all. The Camaro is definitely one of those kinds of cars that can do that.

Do you know what I thought you were going to say?...

That you don't care that your current G/F doesn't see it "long term" with you, because at least you have your car...lol.

I've always loved to cruise to clear my mind. I think I've done it several times in every car that I've owned...but nothing compares to driving the Camaro with no specific destination. My favorite drives are when I go so far that i don't even get cell phone service. Then I know that I'm officially away from the B.S. and drama (even if it's for just a little while)

From time to time I do same thing, in the middle of the night. I live in Chicago, get on the Kennedy west, 53 south, then east up the Eisenhower back through the circle....it's aprox. a 50 mile giant roundabout. (Sometimes secretly looking for races) Radio station is set to SLP exhaust hum. Meditative and serene.
