Codes P0000 and B2111

Installed a Whipple a few months ago. After getting a new tune last month it keeps throwing the P0000 and B2111 codes. I searched the two codes and found P0000 to be a phantom code and the B2111 code is for a seat belt issue.

The check engine light comes on after the second start up of the car. Car doesn't seem to be running any differently and my tuner doesn't think its tune related. Anyone had these two codes?

B2111 doesn’t show up as an available code in my 2010 service manual but I guess that it could have been added by 2011. In general most of the aftermarket tuners don’t do anything with the body control module where the B codes are generated and stored. Any chance the P0000 code is actually reading P000C or D? What kind of code reader are you using? Maybe it can’t correctly handle the B code and is generating an error.

I had something like this happen to me last year after installing a new converter of all things. The MIL came on so I checked my Aeroforce gauges because I can read and clear DTC's with them. Had one code come up that wasn't in the DTC codes listed for my year Camaro by GM, don't remember the number it was, and the second code was for the BCM, and it referred to my driver side seat motor switch, which my switch and seat worked just fine. I cleared them, but they came back again after a couple days. I took the car to my Chevy mech and had him check them on his scanner in the GM system and the first code was one of those "phantom" codes, and the other was the driver seat switch. I had him clear them and they NEVER came back. So I guess my Aeroforce gauges doesn't totally clear them out. But it was weird that they just "popped up"..

Where are you getting that info for the P0000 code? I searched the HP Tuner forum and the only reference I found to P0000 was a discussion of clearing diagnostic info from the modules by sending a P0000 code to the modules. I would think there would be a discussion on HP Tuner forum if this was caused by tuning.

No info on P0000 on my GM site either. When I see P codes that don't exist I immediately suspect a ECM problem

Btw.VCDS for VAG-COM says the same.

That is a little different than your original post, at least the way I read it. If hptuners was used to tune, it doesn't really affect the firmware that I know of on a typical tune. I'm also a little bit wary of these websites that talk in general terms about what an error code means. It's possible that the basic file was corrupted when writing the calibration, but if that code was caused by tuning more than a very rare occurrence, it would show up on HPtuners forum.

I would concentrate on the Bcode to start with and see if you still get a check engine light after that is corrected. If you still have issues, have the ECM reprogramed through the GM system back to stock and then reapply your tune changes. If that doesn't fix it, it's likely a bad ECM.

Not sure if that would apply to a GM since it isn't a standard code for GM. Maybe it does apply, but since that site is dedicated to European Vehicles, maybe that is a code used by them more?

Pretty much my same scenario. I have Aeroforce gauges as well and the second code is for my seat switch. Thanks for taking the time to reply,

Yes sir, you're welcome. And like I stated, when my Chevy guy cleared the codes, they never came back. Been a year now. Just one of those "weird" things that happen I guess with modded tunes.. Good luck with yours..

Sounds like the Aeroforce gauges may have a minor bug in them.

Agreed, it happened twice in one week on mine with the same codes, cleared them with the gauge both times, but they came back, that's when I took it in and had them cleared at my Chevy shop, they never came back. lol. Everything else works great on them though!!
