2017 Camaro 2SS max speed 200 kmh.
When switching from US to metric units, the speedometer scale is still between 0 to 200, so it just sits at 200, when you go beyond 200 kmh.
Does anyone have the same problem? Is this by design? |

That's because the speedo is designed primarily for mph. Changing to km/h only changes the way the needle responds. It cannot change the 200 because that part is not digital. How often are you driving 124 mph (200km/h)?

As caSStro18 said, if it really bothers you can spend like hundred for a mph spec cluster and send it in to get programmed for $200 so like $300 for the cluster to be mph.
I don't think you can open the glass or gain entry to put a cover on it, it could be possible

There are two physical SS/ZL1 speedo designs with the 2016-18, one for the US (this is what you have) and another one for EU/AS, see below.
If this limitation is really a bother, you can obtain an EU/AS cluster and have experts like White Automotive & Media program it up for you to enable a swap.
