brakes slightly squeaking

I only really notice this in the evenings when leaving work. I've got about 60K miles on her. I am experiencing a rather slight squeak from the brakes in the evening. Is this just because its cooler out? Could it be the wear indicators? If it is the wear indicators why wouldnt they squeak once we get things warmed up? I don't want to ignore it if it is the indicators. Helpful advise preferred.

I guess this is a no-brainer if no one answering. Just curious for some insight.

It could be a number of things; warn out pads, debris caught in the pads, not enough grease, glazed pads. At 60K you're probably getting close to the end of their life anyway, but the only way to know for sure is to check them out.

Best regards,

Tyler

if i had 60m on my pads i would have them changed.you are close to the end for your old ones.don't want them to get into the rotors.i would have them replaced with ceramic pads.it will cut way down on brake dust.
