Header gasket question

I'm installing headers this weekend, I was wondering how often do the headers gaskets blow, I had Headers on my 1974 z28 and the gaskets didn't seem to last long. Are they made any better now ? how often do you end up replacing them ? Any tricks I should know ?

Most people just reuse the factory gaskets. They seem to work the best.

Yeah, throw away whatever comes with the headers and install new GM gaskets, their pretty cheap, and do work the best.

Just reuse the faoctory gaskets , I just replaced the ones I put in last year with the Kooks headers. Even Kooks told me I should have used the OEM ones

I used the gaskets that came with my XSP kits, they were a tad thicker than stock and I haven't run into any issues...
