Southeast Alabama and South Georgia meet...

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to post this up and see if any of you Southeast Alabama and South/Southwest Georgia folks wanted to get a meet going sometime in the next month or so.

So if some of you guys could chime in and give some ideas about where to meet and when. I am open to all ideas.

Let me know.

Thanks,
RJT-Maro

2010 CAMARO MEET
Saturday, February 20th 1:00 - 4:00pm
Legacy Chevrolet on Manchester Expressway
in Columbus, GA

Legacy is sponsoring the Kick-Off for the Columbus Camaro Club, providing us with all the parking we will need, refreshments, and a large conference area in case of inclement weather. We will have a group photo and end the day with a short cruise to Cooper Creek Park for more pictures.

Open to All Camaro Generations!

RSVP to ME, Lani by 13 Feb if you are coming, I need to get them a head count for the food.

Thank You to GearHeadsDesign for providing a very awesome "free" poster we could use, it fit's our theme perfectly!

That would be seriously awesome if you could come! Do you know anyone with first or second generation camaro's that might be able to come too? We are trying to get as many generations involved as possible but are focusing on the 1st, 2nd and 5th.

Where in Alabama are you? Columbus, at least where I work (downtown) is just a stones throw across the chattahootchee river to Phenix City, Alabama.

Eufala is absolutely beautiful, I love driving through the Historic District!

What's great too, is that it's close enough to travel for a car show or meet and there are quite a few forum members from Eufala too. If you haven't found them or met up with them yet, just do some hunting around on the forum and you will find them.

I used to drive through Eufala a lot when the kids were still living at home and we went down to the beach frequently during the summer or down to Enterprise throughout the year to visit friends (who now live in Oregon).

There is a bright yellow 1st gen Camaro in Eufala as well as a red one and a black one. This was a few years ago, but they may still be around.

Whenever you decide to do your meet in March count me in!!! Plus, I bet I can get a few folks from Columbus who would want to come down too. Just let me know and I be there! Hubby will come too if he doesn't have to work.

p.s. Something worth considering for the future is to tie in a meet with the pilgrimage (April?) or is there already a car show in the works for it?

Yeah there are 3 of us from Eufaula on here. We meet up every Saturday for Breakfast.

I will look into the Pilgrimage and see what they could do about a car show of some kind.

Here's the link for the February 20th Camaro Meet in Columbus:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62777

It will be easier for me to keep a head count if everyone would just make a quick post on that thread instead of trying to keep track everyone all over the place.

Thanks a bunch, I really appreciate it.

Lani

Hey, bring your friends up to our meet on the 20th! If it's good weather, after the cruise to the park I am betting that quite a few folks are going to want to go get something to eat. There are some good restaurants or we could possible hit winn dixie for a bunch of steaks and go to my house and grill them up. We will line the cul-de-sac with Camaro's! hahaha... what a sight that would be!

Well, there is still plenty of time to rearrange your calander. It should be a pretty good turnout. Legacy is sending invites out to all of the folks who purchased Camaro's since last May, that's over 65 people! I know they won't all turn out, but the response has been very good so far.

Gotta go, time to get some sleep I've got a long drive tomorrow morning. nite nite
