I tint windows for a living. Just tell your installer to cut the film a little longer to go below the rubber on the windows and you wont have any more problems. In Texas its only about 24 hours before you can roll down your windows. Ask him also to heat the bottom good before he shuts your door.

Yea earl thats what I was told it was during the beginning of the winter time. Chicago gets cold so I didn't need to roll the windows down when I was stationed in Hawaii and had tints installed on another vehicle my wait time was a week however most installers recommended 48 hrs.

Thanks everyone. The indexing is the problem, for sure.
My tint guy has the film pre-cut on a vinyl cutter prior to install. I assume the pattern is based on just the window opening, not the overall size of the glass itself... I'll be sure to tell him to leave an extra inch or so on the bottom. Hopefully this will be the last time I have to deal with this.... Such a pain

I can't believe that all of you read this thread and didn't catch the real problem! His last car was an LT and didn't have any problems and the SS does. It's obvious that all that extra power is peeling the tint off and the V6 didn't have enough power to cause a problem! jk

the other thing would be temperature, my tint guy said if it's below freezing he can't install tint safely without risking the peeling issue.

I agree completely. I paid more for my tint job but it's absolutely perfect. I paid double what my wife did for hers but she didn't want to listen to me so her driver's door is lifting up at the bottom on her Challenger and the guy had to redo the rear window entirely as it was cut wrong.

The place I had mine done in Palm Beach had a sign that said "We fix $100 tint jobs"
