Launch Control Test. Successful?

Tried the Launch Control on my 2010 camaro SS. never tried the launch control before. i always read the horror stories here on C5 where people breaking parts.

i honestly think it can be several things that cause the parts to fail. driver error or lack of maintenance on servicing the areas where it would take the abuse.

ex. changing the diff fluid, changing tranny fluid..

the first time i tried launch control the car revved to 6k...

reviewing the steps i correctly did the steps again in order,

be in competitive mode,

clutch in.

shifter in 1st

stab the throttle

release clutch,

manage throttle control and bam! successful launch

i did 2 more launches and the results were consistent. using stock tires, i was able to launch almost with minimal wheel spin. like 10% wheel spin.

sorry no videos.. i will keep updates because i am hooked on this feature lol

No amount of changing fluid is going to keep a metal part from shearing in half. Don't drink the kool-aid.

keep doing it then we will see a post , i broke my axel or driveshaft lol. it probably ok to do on street tires on the street but on a track with radials . it wont last. unless u slip the clutch like crazy . but then u wont make but about 1 or 2 pass and ur clutch is smelling like mad . sticking to the floor. but keep doing u need to upgrade that stuff anyway lol
