Reuse someone elses tune?

Ok so I am buying a used SCT x3 tuner. The previous owner has the same mods as me EXCEPT they had a L99 auto I have a LS3 manual. Any advice? The inital tune is from Janetty so it is good from the get go what would I need to change to make it work on the manual?

yea... like dan said... it needs updated. I'm not so sure I trust a can tune. I'd prefer the custom route. My dads supercharged Mustang had a canned tune in it and it was all messed up, ran pretty lean... not good for a boosted car.

Ok thats what I was thinking. In my ricer days (Mitsu EVOLUTION) Their was a database of good tunes from reputable tuners out their pending mods and elevations. 99% of the time they were great to load into your ECU. Ill just re pay Janetty sooner then later (was hopeing the loaded tune would suffice for the time)

every car is different.......hence why you need to have it tuned for YOUR Car. Else get a SCT flaspac or something. Or get Hptuners and make your own tunes.

Please Do NOT try and load that tune, My Custom Tunes are VIN SPECIFIC and even though I don't think it will load, Don't Try it.

You need to Read out the Stock tune file with the SCT X3 and send it to me to write you a new tune for your VIN.

Thank You.

Ted.

Granted, There Are guys out there selling Canned tunes that should not be tuning cars at all, but Please Don't put me in the same class as the other guys.

All Canned Tunes CAN NOT be treated equally.

I have been tuning engines in general from, Small engines to Daily Drivers to Street cars, to Full on Drag racing engines for more than 35 years.

I have tuned with every aftermarket software available on the market today.

I have tuned over 250 2010 Camaros this Year alone and everyone seems Quite Pleased with the Results.

Custom Tuning is My Passion and My Livelyhood.

Ted.
