Stubborn Bug Splatters?

I need to know how to get these off. Goo Gone doesn't work like... At all. They are all over my front bumper....

Clay barring will likely make quick work of those.

If they've been on there for a while and have had a chance to etch into the clear coat, then it will take some polishing to take care of them.

Probably like the rest of my car from dreaming rain. The etched waterspots are ridiculous, too.

There are specific products designed to remove bugs, called a bug and tar remover. If this happens often you may want to pick one of these up.

Road Trip Grime Destroyer

Probably my favorite product from our Enthusiast GradeŽ line of products. Its safer than most of the bug and tar products out there b/c it doesn't contain any petroleum distillates or harsh solvents.

Very much like an all purpose cleaner, but in more of a gel form. Clings well where its sprayed so it softens up the bug guts. I use it all the time as a pre treatment for the front end of our cars in spring when bugs are the worst here.

After that if anything remains, which is usually minimal then just hit the remaining problem areas with clay. Then polish and wax per your preference to clean up the finish and restore protection.

Also usually pretty easy to find locally, of course you can always order it online - use the code CAMARO5 for 10% off... or if you planned on ordering today check out our TGIF offer for 15% off - http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=369207

I get bugs all the time. Wash my car once a week with a pressure washer and they come right off, sometimes a little persistent scrubbing...
Course I don't commute so far so the bugs are usually minimal.
