Any new fluids for manual trans and diff??
So I have a LS3 and I've read a few threads about which oils to use for the transmission and diff and see that the redline D4 for trans and redline 75w90 with the modifier already in it is the way to go for the diff.
However being that most threads i found were around 3 years old I wanted to ask if people were currently using anything new or if there were any other recommendations on what to use Thanks. |

Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF is very good in the LS3's manual transmission. Used it for about 40k miles with good results. I switched to a Redline blend but will switch back to Mobil 1 when I get the opportunity. It just worked better for me especially for synchronizer functionality on downshifts. You need to specifically look for the Mobil 1 ATF that says compatible with older DEXRON 3 applications. If you buy the fluid for late model transmissions, you are buying the wrong fluid. Confusing, I know.

I've had the best luck with Royal Purple Synchromax in the the TR6060. Worst luck with Mobil 1.
RP made it noticeably smoother, M1 ATF noticeably more notchy. Haven't tried Redline as RP works so good. |

I'll probably offend you

I just finished putting in Redline D4 ATF and Redline diff fluid after hearing great things. If there are any issues I'll be sure to post about them.

I use Amsoil and haven't had any issues. It really helped with the transmission. I'm sure any quality fluid will be fine.

Just got back from the dealer changing my oil and rear diff fluid. Mobil 1 all the way around, had to bring my own oil filter. If your looking for a good rear diff fluid Mobil 1 SAE 75w-90 has you covered at a reasonable $13 from O'Reilly.

signature series is motor oil not transmission oil. get that out of there now. you need to put ATF in the transmission.
