I just spoke to my dealer about ordering a 1LE, and he told me there was a constraint on them until later in the year. Another local dealer said they could order one now, however. Has anyone heard anything about a constraint? I told the dealer I knew of guys who just took delivery of '14 1LEs in the past few days and I didn't believe there was a constraint.

There isn't a constraint, they may just be trying to pressure you into buying something off the lot now. Per my salesguy there is some internal GM sales contest going on and the deadline was the 15th or 16th, can't remember. The only constraints announced thus far are regarding paint colors, which should be lifted by now I believe.

Thanks Mike. I thought it was a little funny... If what you're saying is true, I'm sure they'll call me tomorrow or something and tell me they can order now. Btw, love your car! It's exactly how I'm ordering mine (BRM 2SS w/NAV, NPP, RS, 1LE). I'm thinking I'm gonna get the Recaros too.

It's pretty crappy, but that's what I figured. Just so happens they have a '14 SS in stock, which they asked me if I was interested in... Never mind the fact that I've told them several times in several ways that I do my homework and I know exactly what I want. Theirs is almost what I want, except it's not Blue Ray and it doesn't have the 1LE package... Pretty important! It does have the Recaros, which are quite nice!!

Don't settle! If no dealers in your area have the 1LE you want go order it. This is too nice a car to have to settle.

If you are looking to get a 1LE, you are probably going to have to order it. When I ordered my car the new car manager said "I wish GM would let us order more" saying that as far as their allocation goes for stocking purposes they are only allowed a certain number of each trim/package. However, there is no such limit for ordering a "sold" vehicle.

I hear ya. Yeah, I fully intended to order mine. If the '13s were any indication, BRM 1LEs are EXTREMELY hard to find, let alone optioned the way I want.
